Essential Oils
As a Registered Aromatherapist, I will prepare a specific blend of high quality essential oils following a detailed consultation. Aromatherapy can be useful to optimise the health and wellbeing of people of all ages.
- Essential oils occur naturally in a variety of botanical sources
- Their highly aromatic and therapeutic essences are extracted from a number of sources, including: leaves; petals; twig; berries; buds; seeds;
and peel
- Examples of commonly used essential oils are: rosemary; rose; juniper; lemon; cypress; ginger, ylang ylang and many many more
- Traditionally used in perfumes and cosmetics, the therapeutic properties are determined by their natural chemical constituents
- Aromatherapy is the controlled use of these essential oils to maintain physical and psychological wellbeing
- Blended in a carrier oil, the essential oils enter the body through inhalation of the aroma and absorption of molecules through the skin during massage
